I used to buy hoodia gordonii pills offline, but pharmacy that has hoodia is far away and I'm tired of spending hours in transport.

Now found this site - http://www.buy-mega-hoodia.com
Is it ok to buy pills over the internet ?
Has anyone any experience with online pharmacy stores ? Is it safe ?

My Stats This Week

My height: 170cm (around 5'7)
Highest I ever weighted:100 kgs (220 lbs)
Starting weight:97 kgs (213.4 lbs)
Current weight:88.5 kgs (194.7 lbs)
Current BMI:30.6 (starting: 34.6)

3.3 lbs lost this week, I couldn't believe it :D If anyone want to see my food and exercise log, it's in my journal. So I'm finishing week 6, and feeling very pleased about my progress so far. I'm starting to feel and see the results... I have a picture progress log thing on my journal, and you can really tell as my waist fat disappears, lol! But really, I'm very very happy with what I've achieved so far, and it's really motivating me to continue.

Anyway, only 1.5 kg until my first goal. I hope to make it in the next week or two! :D Cheers.

hey, i'm ashley. i'm new to the community. you all seemed so nice and actually into losing weight the right way, which was a total plus. i'm 23 years old, 180 pounds, and i'd love to be at maybe 140. i have the stomach pouch. and i hate it, haha. i think losing a little weight will help me gain my self-confidence back.

i've been working out for the past couple weeks, mostly a few miles a day on the treadmill, a little cycling, leg and ab workouts. i go to the local gym, and i love it. however, i'm not too sure as to what to do about my eating habits? my big problem, i know this much, is that i'm completely addicted to mountain dew, haha. sad, but true. everyone tells me that cutting out caffeine helps the weight to pretty much slide right off. how true is this?

any pointers in dieting would be awesome. because yes, eating's a big thing for me.

ty to any of you that answer this. and good luck to all of you in the battle against weight.
:]

Okay...

I've done a lot of diets in the past... mostly ones I cooked up on my own. Mostly crash diets. I'm looking for one that isn't a crash diet. I'm looking for a diet that gets me all the vitamins, proteins, and carbs that my body NEEDS. I'm also looking for one that doesn't take a lot of cooking or preparation because I don't have a lot of time.

Here are my stats:

Age: Seveteen
Gender: Female
Height: 5"7
Weight: 275 pounds

I'm a vegitarian, also. Really, what i'm looking for is how many servings of fruit, veggies, dairy, meat (I could live through chicken, I think), Carbs, ect. I should be getting a day according to age and gender and such.

If anyone could help me out it would be MUCH appreicated.

Mood: calm

I made a decision this week. I'm going to begin the process of losing weight.

Mainly b/c as a future nurse I need to be strong and fit. I've been blessed with great health but as a Christian the Bible says that I must honor my body b/c it is the temple of the Holy Spirit.

So with those modivators, I began walking yesturday at a local park. I don't know how long the track is (over a mile I think) but I walk for 15-25 minutes at a good starting pace. The park is beautiful and lively; it gives me a moment to clear my mind and talk to God. My schedule is going to get a little hectic but I'm going to work hard to make the time for my health. I need to purchase proper walking shoes though and at a low price at that.

I range that I need to drop about 50-60lbs. I'm a full-time college student working part-time so I can't see a doctor/nutritionist at this time. I'd like to gain some muscle too so I'll get a YMCA membership after awhile.

Anyone have any pointers for beginning walkers?

I wish everyone the best in their efforts to improve their health.

God Bless!

I am down over 20 pounds now and trying to weed through my clothing that use to fit but no longer do to try and pay my tuition for this semester.I figured I would tell you guys about my jeans that I am listing (or have listed) on EBAY. Right now I have one pair of size 14 never worn 1969 jeans from the gap. Its a good chance to get some smaller jeans with out actually going out and buying a whole new wardrobe only to shrink out of them again in a few months.
Here is the size 14 jeans http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5409842030&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1
Also if you go to my other auctions I have a gap $100 Gift card up for sale so again a good way of getting new smaller clothing that wont fall off of you with out paying a lot for it (I think the bidding is at 80 dollars, so thats 20% off everything you buy, not a bad deal.) I will also be listing some size 12 jeans most likely tomorrow.

Lets hope soon I'll be listing my size 10 pants as well.
Good luck you guys!

Exercise, vigorous exercise, is the key to weight loss. I'm convinced. I was recently unable to exercise as much as I wanted to for a two week period, and I gained two pounds - a pound a week. Exercise is like flipping a metabolic switch on or off; it changes everything.

Subject:Hi there !

I'm 44, male, a cyclist, my BMI is about 26, my bodyfat percentage is 20.5%

I'd really like to get down to a body fat percentage of 15%, and BMI of maybe 24-ish. I think my performance would be better at that level. And I'd look better, too. I have rounded edges right now, little bit of love handles. Not bad, but not like a serious cyclist could look.

So, that means I'd have to lose about 11 pounds. As you know... the last 10 pounds are the hardest! Wish me luck.

OH... something I've learned... I have a tendency to over-hydrate. So don't just take the stock advice to drink water all day long. You can drink too much water.

I've had a couple of occurences when I've gone out on long bike rides on hot days, felt fine, but by nighttime I was all swollen and literally gained 5 - 10 pounds of pure water, also had extreme fatigue and headache. Doctor agrees with my assessment that I had hyponatremia, I drank so much water I was diluting the sodium in my blood.

So recently, I weigh myself before and after riding... in the parking lot of the ride start / finish. I drink only enough to get back to my start weight, then no more. No more guzzling iced tea at lunch.

End of problems.

Hello I just joined and thought id introduce myself.
I am Stacy, Im 23, the mother of 2 small children, an artist and also quite overweight (370). I am wanting to be healthy and live long for my kids so I am taking steps to get down to a healthy weight. This means I have 190pounds to lose.
Im currently cutting back on what i eat and mostly use AVON'S slim well plan. I also am doing a daily exercise to Leslie Sansone's Walk away the pounds 2 mile workout.
I have been ill the past month so i was only able to eat healthy, but today is my start for daily exercise (i did it about once a week before). I have also measured various parts of my body and took photos of myself to use as a guide as to how my body is changing. I will repeat the mesurments and photos each 1st of the month.
I look forward to getting to know everyone here and hope i can contribute to the community when needed.
I wish everyone the best of luck with all their goals.

I was just having some lunch over at our University's Student Union (not a student anymore... staff now) and I saw a big huge group of kids (field trip, I'm guessing?) rushing towards the Food Court in a mad dash to get in line for....

A lunch break, a student union, and hoardes of hungry children...Collapse )

Just thought I'd share.

Hey everyone!

I'm starting a community for those who want to lose weight the healthy way, but have a history of ED. Cause a site for people losing weight without a personal knowledge of ED just can't offer the same support, and a pro-ED site isn't the right place either.

So if you want to check it out go to

140bychristmas

You don't have to have 140 as your goal, but I was kinda hoping to attract people with similar stats as me. So as long as you have a healthy weight loss goal, join!

Subject:Hi, everyone...

Was browsing weightloss communities, and it's truly scary what's to be found here on LJ...anyhow...This community looks like it is geared towards smart weightloss. A friend pointed me in this direction. :)

My name is Kerri. I am 33 years old, 5'2" and currently weigh 160 lbs (according to my scale at home...the dr.'s scale usually weighs me 3 to 5 pounds heavier). I had a baby on December 31st, 2003, though I have lost all my pregnancy weight. I have become sick enough of my body to start trying to do something about it.

My goal weight, for now, is to get under 140lbs. Ultimately, it would be nice to be back under 130lbs, but I am not sure that is entirely possible.

I have begun watching what I eat, trying to limit my portions, and trying to avoid fast food and sodas, and up my daily intake of water. I am also trying to increase my activity level. Right now, I am just trying to work walks into my daily routine.

It's a slow-ish start, but I am already beginning to see progress, since last week my weight hovered around 165.

I hope to gain encouragement, insight, and support from the members of this community. Thanks in advance. :)

I think I just got over my plateau.
Can I just say, OH MY FUCKING GOD WHAT A RELIEF.

Height: 5'7"
Starting weight: 160
Last week(s): 154
This week: 152.5
Total Loss/Gain: -7.5

However, (theres always a however =[ ) I fear my scale is playing it's evil little tricks on me. This morning I weighed myself and I was 152.5. I ate breakfast, and I was STILL 152.5. I just drank two big glasses of lemonade and ate dinner, and yes, I'm still at 152.5

How is that even possible? I know my scale isn't broken because I tested it with a 5 pound weight. Shouldn't my weight be going all over the place after I eat? Not that I'm complaining, I will gladly take 152.5 over 154 any day. I just want to know if I'm being punk'd by my scale.

Anyone else have this problem?

Umm.. Hi! I'm new here. (: Been skimming through various weight loss communities in LJ and I found this one really friendly! ^^;

Age: 17
Height: 5 ft. 7 in. ( 174cm )
BMI : 20.1
Current weight: 61kg ( i really dont know how to convert this )
Short term goal 1: 57kg by October
Short term goal 2: 54kg by December
Long term goal: 52kg by next year

Umm, I've never really gone on a diet before but I've been really dumb at one point of time early this year and I didnt eat regular meals - I skipped my breakfast and dinner and I ended up around 57kg which was really good. But I started eating properly again and I resulted in THIS terrible weight. I'm trying to find exercises to make the thighs smaller and I've been doing at least 60 situps and 60 crunches a day since last month because I want to rid of the flab on my tummy ( it's not a BIG flab, it's just one of those 'i-wont-go-away' things and I just hate it. )

So, here's a brief plan of what I intend to do. ^^;

Diet: No more bread. Cut down on rice. At least 8 glasses of water a day. Fruits, fruits fruits. Plus I really need help because I can NEVER get counting calories - I dont usually cook my own food. ^^;

Exercise: Aim to reach 90-100 situps and 100 crunches a day; Need to find some form of exercise to slim down my thighs; 50 pushups a day; Jog for an hour at least twice a week since I have school and all.

Soo... Comments? Ideas? ^^; Thanks in advance! I really need help on this. >< I'm not very happy with the way I am.

well, i am unhappy with how i weigh and look. boo! i've recently changed my eating habits. i don't eat nearly as much between meals, i eat healthier meals, i've cut out fast food and sodas, and i'm not eating out nearly as much.

i started exercising in june, but i came down with a cold and was unmotivated. i just weighed myself... and i need to exercise, too. bad.

i honestly don't feel like posting my weight, because i'm very unhappy and trying not to think about it.

last year, i lost about twenty to twenty-five pounds... and then gained it back, plus some. grr.

i want to lose about... forty pounds. that would be fine with me. i want to remain curvy, just not so much in the belly area! if anything, i am 5'7'' and eighteen years old.

i suppose i'm just looking for some motivation to go renew my gym membership.

:D

Is this my plateu or something? Right after I've lost ONE POUND? This seriously sucks. I don't know what to do. Part of my wants to drastically cut calories and the other part wants to devour the entire fridge in defeat.

DAMN YOU, BODY. DAMN YOU AND YOUR EVIL WAYS >=(

I hate my period. It's making my weight go in every which way :( Plus it makes me have no appetite whatsoever, so I end up eating like 700 calories a day in two big meals because I always feel full, and I know thats really bad but I can't help it, I'm just not hungry!

I am so unmotivated right now. :(
